Join the Mad Holiday Academy vacation program for some amazing science fun!
This autumn, kids aged 6-10 years can dive into hands-on science fun with our exciting science program. Running over five days from Monday 7th April to Friday 11th April, each day explores a different theme—Chemistry, Biology, Forces & Engineering, Robots, and Space! Attend one day or more or join us for the whole week of discovery, experiments and mad science adventures!

Monday 7th April 2025 | Space Launch Camp
Discover space exploration. Explore awesome cut-aways to see how rockets work. Build your own rockets to take home. Discover what satellites are used for, space telescopes discovering how our Universe works, spacecraft exploring our solar system. Design your own space mission. We will finish with an exciting rocket launch.
Tuesday 8th April 2025 | Building and Coding Robots
Build and program your own robot while uncovering the exciting future of robotics and artificial intelligence. Get hands-on with tech, problem-solving, and innovation in this fun and interactive workshop—perfect for curious young minds ready to explore the world of tomorrow!
Wednesday 9th April 2025 | Chemistry Chaos
Dive into the world of chemicals! What ARE chemicals anyway? Kids will discover the secrets of our hidden chemical world through games and hands-on experiments. They’ll explore physical and chemical reactions, and even take a bit of science home!
Thursday 10th April 2025 | Excellent Engineers
Get ready to build, create, and experiment as we explore the power of forces and engineering! Using fun hands-on tools, you’ll test your skills to construct the strongest house and design the longest, most exciting ball run. Discover how forces like gravity, friction, and momentum shape the world around us—then put your knowledge to the test in exciting challenges! Are you up for the engineering challenge? Let’s build something amazing!
Friday 11th April 2025 | Wild Biology
Explore the world of all things ALIVE! Students learn to understand what it means to be a ‘living thing’, and to understand how they are each related to one another. How do they each interact with the environment and each other? Encounter real living creatures, and learn about the amazing design features of living things that allow them to perfectly exploit their habitat. Experience how reliant they are on each other, and how they see and hear the world. Finally, use chemistry to extract the very language of life itself – DNA – to you to feel with your very own hands!
