Step Up Classroom Science

Hands-On Primary Science Incursions & Workshops

Our team of science teaching specialists really care about connecting more children with the fascinating world of science. We are practised in leading educational science workshops in primary schools and kindergartens, and online, inspiring children throughout Australia.

In line with our mission, we also scour the world to bring unique science materials to teachers, parents and children. Mad About Science’s popular online store has grown extensively over a few short years, and now stocks over 3000 quality science resources to help bring science to life in homes and classrooms throughout Australia.

Our talented workshop demonstrators are experienced in teaching science in Primary School and Early Childhood Learning settings. Some are qualified teachers, others are trained scientists with expertise in a variety of areas. All are wonderful with children, are skilled at leading hands-on science workshops, have had thorough background checks and hold current working with children cards.

Robotics and Coding

In this exciting workshop, students will work in pairs to build and program real robots. Our robotics kits will keep students engaged from beginner to advanced, and teachers may learn something too! This workshop uses a pen-and-card based programming system, so no computers are required. Suitable for Stage 1-3. Only available in NSW.

We are delighted how relevant the presentation was to our unit. It gave the students great ideas for when they are building their own simple machine. Overall a brilliant presentation by Caleb that allowed the students to explore, reflect and build a simple machine with everything they learnt. Will definitely rebook next year.
