Project Description

Big Reactive Chemistry Show

A cool 60-minute show filled with crazy chemical reactions!  There’s bubbling dry ice fountains, overflowing chemical reactions (both hot and cold!), mesmerising chemiluminescence, and a big explosive finish!

  • Level: Level 3 to Level 8

  • Duration: 60 minutes

  • Numbers: Suitable for up to 180 students

  • Cost: $750 plus GST per show

  • State: VIC, NSW

This BIG REACTIVE CHEMISTRY SHOW is a dive into the incredible science of chemistry and the amazing changes and reactions it explores. It is full of demonstrations and includes some audience participation. Please see our other workshops if you require more of a hands-on experience for your students.

Fantastic physical changes and cool chemical reactions!

  • Learn about how to make carbon dioxide gas using both dry ice and chemical reactions.

  • Feel the difference between endothermic and exothermic changes.

  • Discover what kind of chemicals the human body produces with an incredible colour-changing pH indicator.

  • Explore the science behind fireworks.

  • Watch as a sugar monster slowly appears before your eyes.

  • Be amazed by the chemistry of chemiluminescence: chemical reactions that produce light but no heat!

  • To finish, get blown away by an explosive chemical reaction.

Lisa from Mad About Science is absolutely brilliant (so is the whole team really!). She was amazing with the kids, great with our kids with additional needs and just ran the experiments in a wonderfully fun and interactive way. I couldn’t recommend Mad About Science highly enough.
